Culture Week at Akiuk Memorial School is held every year. Culture Week consists of students, staff, and community members from Kasigluk coming together to participate in traditional cultural activities. Take a look at some of the activities students and staff took part in during Culture Week.

Vincent Waska Jr. helped students make story knives and tell stories with them during culture week.

Kindergarten teacher Ann Marie Tinker and Karla Andrews worked with many students to make some delicious food during Culture Week!

Uluak and Curved Knives:

Students worked with Tony McDaniel in the shop to make ulaaqs and curved knifes they could use to clean fish.
