Welcome Back to School!
Welcome back students, staff and parents!
My name is Dr. Lorraine Hargett, and I am excited to introduce myself to the new school Administrator/Principal for Akiuk Memorial School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead alongside a great staff at a school full of rich and spiritual traditions that strive for excellence in education. I am enthusiastic about joining a great community where we share our values, install virtues, and empower our students to seek their full potential.
I am also happy to be teaching and learning from the greatest Grizzlies of all.
I hope your summer was filled with lots of joy and laughter. I hope you caught up on rest and or read a book. Did you see a fun movie or at least stranger things that roam the earth? Did you ride a crazy insane roller coaster and didn’t think about school (well,maybe a little). And now it’s time to get ready for…….the greatest year ever! LET THE TEACHING AND LEARNING BEGIN!
