Hello Wonderful Akiuk Community! Many of you already know me; I’m Dr. Ronald Franke and I’m here with my wife Su. Although we’re part way through Fall semester, it’s never too late to express our heartfelt joy for the privilege of living among such a close-knit community with rich cultural traditions. It’s providential that our paths meet, so we do not take lightly the responsibility.
In all I do leading the school, I strive to come alongside the family, church, and tribe as much as possible to raise up a generation of young men and women who will go on to greatness. That greatness may manifest itself now during a spelling bee, coloring time, good test grade, or basketball win. Soon, it may be a successful hunting trip, comprehensive examination, pilot check ride, ordination, or commissioning. It may be more subtle someday as youth move into marriage and parenting, sacrificing for one another and for the next generation. That greatness may show forth someday as our children enter vocations that we don’t know much about yet. Nevertheless, it is our prayer that we be found faithful as they pass through this crucial chapter in their lives. Thank you for trusting us with your children, each in the image of God. We cherish your advice, encouragements, friendship, and prayers.
